This award-winning, grade II listed building is a beautiful venue with a unique atmosphere and stunning backdrop.

Wedding ceremonies take place in the traditional chancel area. Whilst you enjoy drinks, laughter and photographs, the building can be magically transformed for your reception and evening celebrations.

Wedding Receptions

St John’s Place is a unique space with a real wow factor. 

For those getting married elsewhere, the lychgate makes a stunning backdrop as you walk along the path up to this beautiful building for your reception.

Hire includes the exclusive use of the building, our tables and chairs, modern kitchen and audio visual system (complete with a drop down screen, ceiling mounted projector, surround sound speakers and microphones).

Additional information

Hire fee: We want to make your day as special as possible so we like to keep things simple.  Our full wedding package, as described above, is £1500.  Venue hire is usually from the evening before the event, allowing plenty of time to prepare, all of the day itself until the morning afterwards (i.e. early Friday evening - Sunday midday). 
Catering: We highly recommend PP catering who regularly host events at St John's Place.  They are very experienced in quickly transforming the building from a wedding ceremony to a reception. 
Guest numbers:  St John's Place is ideal for up to 100 seated guests or 120 if dancing the night awayat an evening reception.
Getting to us: St John's Place is only one mile from the railway station and the centre of Salisbury ensuring easy access for all of your guests.  
Parking: There is a public car park opposite to the venue with a large layby adjacent to it (near to Bemerton St John's Primary School) and after 6pm you are also permitted to park along Lower Road.  An adjacent field with a path directly to St John's Place can also be hired.  Please ask for contact details to arrange this.
